University & Higher Education

University buildings often include multiple uses within one building, such as Classrooms & Laboratories, Residence Hall & Dining. Additionally, while each campus maintains an individual architectural character they also tend toward the technological and ecological cutting edge with each building design, whether a new building, renovation or retrofit.

Although older projects don't carry much weight in the fast-paced engineering design world, University/Higher Education buildings are the exception. They are typically used for  a long time with little change from the building's original purpose.  Money is spent on remodels and system retrofits to maintain modernity in older buildings, but buildings are rarely completely demolished to make way for an updated building.
